Tech4All new device workshops

Before becoming device owners, eligible computer applicants are asked to complete mandatory technology training and referred to Rogers Connect for Success that provides low cost internet service to families in need and other support programs (if applicable).

The training is done online via zoom and covers internet basics, privacy and online safety, and much more.

Tech4All Computer Tutorials

Our Tech4All Students group is working hard to develop a series of lessons to help new technology users get more comfortable with technology.

GCFLearnFree

The GCFLearnFree.org program has helped millions around the world learn the essential skills they need to live and work in the 21st century. From computer basics, Microsoft Office and email, to reading, math, and more — it offers more than 200 topics, including more than 7,000 lessons, more than 1,000 videos, and more than 50 interactives and games, completely free.

Youth Teaching Adults program from ABC Life Literacy Canada

Youth Teaching Adults is a free introductory digital literacy program for adult learners, led by youth volunteer-tutors. The program helps adults increase their digital literacy skills with the support of youth volunteer-tutors who are looking to develop their leadership skills.

Tech for Good program from March of Dimes

 If you live in Canada, own a mobile phone or tablet and have a disability, you may qualify for Tech for Good. It provides professional assistance to those with accessibility needs so they can independently use or control their mobile phone and tablet. Tech for Good offers customized recommendations, training and support on assistive technology, including apps, software and hardware for your mobile phone and tablet. Services are offered in English and French.
