After attending my second Science Rendezvous, I can easily say that this will be an event I attend annually, as it went successfully! I learned about different aspects in science, such as about the human body, food and nutrition, cells, thumbprints, about the brain, and about computer anatomy, which was the station I volunteered at!
I liked how each of the volunteers at the booths were very hands on and in coordination with the community. Many parents were involved, and I saw that the children were having so much fun! I loved seeing the smiles on everyone's face! Another thing I thought was great was the interactive lectures. I got to attend the GH Lecture, which taught me how to apply to UofGH which was very helpful, as I am in grade 11 and applications will start for me in the fall. I also got to go to The Barrett Centre where I met 'Pepper' the robot, and learned about 3D printing! All in all, I hope to volunteer again next year. Thank you to everyone who volunteered there!

Volunteering at the University of Guelph humber science event was a really nice experience. I got learn more about the university and how it’s builded community, how it’s more easier to attend than others, the advantages of enrolling to this university, and the variety of subjects you can study which include:
Business
Media studies
Psychology
Justice studies
Kinesiology
Early childhood studies
It was really nice to meet with university students and to be able to work with kids again on activities. This activity was about exploring Scientific research, setting out challenges for the kids to do that involve remembering the steps and how they react to these challenges.
One thing that I really enjoyed doing while at the university was going on the tour to visit the garden and seeing many flowers and animals like frogs, ducks, and turtles and learning more about the garden and the areas that were built there ( all the places to sit at ).

Volunteering at Science Rendezvous was an incredibly rewarding experience. I had the opportunity to interact with a diverse range of attendees, from young children to adults, everyone was eager to learn and explore. This event provided me with the opportunity to introduce virtual reality (VR) technology to attendees, particularly in the realm of psychology, emphasizing the distinction between their VR experience and external reality. This experience not only enriched my understanding of psychology and technology but also enhanced my communication skills by effectively conveying concepts to diverse audiences. Additionally, participating in this activity has significantly strengthened my resume, it has also provided me with valuable experience in event coordination, which I believe will greatly benefit me in my future career path pursuits.

I thought it was a particularly rewarding event! There were many topics that I had never seen before. I learned a lot while I was volunteering, and I also got personally involved in each theme. Each volunteer was especially active in answering my questions and helping me understand and experience it. The greatest thing that intrigued me was Moon Phases, which was really amazing. It was an enjoyable day and I hope to have another opportunity to participate next year.
