PRESS RELEASE: Collecting used & unwanted laptops and desktops to refurbish and distribute to Peel Region residents in need.
What will be accepted:
Laptops – PC & Mac, parts, cables
Desktops and monitors – PC & Mac, parts
Consumer Electronics – gaming consoles, iPods, mp3 players, stereo equipment
Handheld devices – smartphones, cell phones, tablets, digital cameras
Printers – Inkjet & Laserjet, plotters, copiers, scanners, fax machines
Peripherals – keyboards, mice, USB sticks, external storage devices, CD/DVD ROMs, cards, laptop bags, webcams, accessories
Home and business phones
Household items – indoor & outdoor appliances, TV’s (items must be 35 lbs or less)
There will also be a metal e-waste bin to collect unwanted technology and indoor/outdoor household metal items that weigh 35lbs or less. Data erase service will be provided for donated computers and a table will be set up to accept computer applications. Certificates available upon request.
