[TORONTO], Saturday, May 13, 2023 – The University of Guelph-Humber Science Rendezvous is back for its 6th year!

Join us at this FREE one-day, all-ages, family festival that celebrates STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math).

On May 13, the city’s biggest STEAM festival Science Rendezvous will take place across Canada, including the University of Guelph-Humber Campus, in North Etobicoke. Explore our exciting line-up of interactive demonstrations, hands-on science experiments, presentations and more!

Science Rendezvous is a marquee event and signature partner of Science Odyssey, Canada’s sixteen-day celebration of discovery and innovation put on by the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada (NSERC).

This family festival takes STEAM out of the lab and onto the community for everyone of all-ages to discover and experience. Science Rendezvous is uniquely designed and run by Canada’s scientists, innovators, and the next generation of creators!

Event highlights this year include an interactive crime scene where participants use VR/360 headsets to solve the crime, human anatomy displays, kinesiology fitness assessments, hands-on ankle taping sessions, optical illusions and face recognition activities, an indoor planetarium featuring the topic of craters, Humber Arboretum tours with tree and flower identification activities, participate in robotic workshops at the Humber College Barrett Centre for Technology Innovation and so much more. High school students will also have the opportunity to engage with university students, ask questions, listen to their lived-experiences, acquire helpful tips and learn how to create their own pathway to post-secondary education with the support of Faculty, Staff, and Students.

The University of Guelph-Humber is happy to support Let's Get Together's TechCollect & E-waste Drive. Everyone is encouraged to bring their unwanted, broken electronic products, technology equipment and handheld devices including laptops, computers, tablets, printers, TV's and phones to the event.
